1. Commitment to Regulatory Compliance
Leaseh is deeply committed to maintaining the highest conceivable standards of regulatory compliance, ethical business conduct, and corporate transparency. We recognize that our property management platform handles highly sensitive tenant data, financial transactions, and real estate operational metrics. Therefore, we have meticulously engineered a comprehensive compliance framework designed to ensure that our operations, data handling practices, and platform architecture strictly adhere to applicable local, national, and international laws governing the real estate and technology sectors.
2. Global Data Protection and Privacy Frameworks
We operate in strict alignment with major global data protection regulations to safeguard the rights and privacy of our users, landlords, and tenants.
- GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): For users managing properties or tenants within the European Economic Area (EEA), Leaseh acts in accordance with GDPR principles, providing robust mechanisms for data access, rectification, erasure, and portability.
- CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act): We comply with the CCPA by offering Californian residents complete transparency regarding our data collection practices and honoring all requests to opt-out of the sale of personal information (noting that Leaseh strictly does not sell personal data).
3. Fair Housing and Anti-Discrimination Laws
As a platform facilitating real estate transactions and tenant screening, Leaseh is unwavering in its commitment to Fair Housing principles. We require all users to comply with the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and equivalent local anti-discrimination laws. Our algorithms and screening tools are specifically designed to present data neutrally. It remains the absolute responsibility of the property manager or landlord using our platform to interpret screening reports and make leasing decisions without discriminating based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability.
4. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and KYC Procedures
To prevent the misuse of our platform for illicit financial activities or real estate fraud, Leaseh implements stringent onboarding and transaction monitoring procedures.
- KYC (Know Your Customer): All enterprise accounts and users processing high-volume financial transactions must undergo rigorous KYC verifications, verifying the legitimacy of the business entity and its owners.
- Transaction Monitoring: We deploy automated systems to continuously monitor rental payment flows for anomalies that may indicate money laundering. We fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies and financial intelligence units pursuant to lawful requests.
5. Audit Rights and Security Transparency
We believe that trust in software infrastructure is built on transparency and verifiable security practices. Enterprise clients holding valid service level agreements have the explicit right to request comprehensive compliance documentation, security architecture overviews, and summaries of our annual third-party penetration tests.
